Duct work is the 'map' of your HVAC Heating and Cooling system. It tells your system were to pull the hot or cold air out and push the warm or cool air in. Without it, you would only be able to cool/heat one or two rooms and not very efficiently. Over time, your HVAC duct work can become very dirty, moldy, or even corroded. If there is somehow condensation in your heating and cooling duct work, it will rust and corrode the metal, producing holes in the metal and the insulation.
